Arts for Learning Indiana, the Indiana affiliate of Young Audiences Arts for Learning, offers creative learning experiences to empower young learners and transform education through creative arts experiences.
The Indianapolis-based organization fulfills its mission through performances, workshops, and residency programs conducted by professional teaching artists in schools, classrooms, and community centers across the state. Additionally, it offers an array of professional development activities designed to help teachers and teaching artists bring the arts into the school environment more effectively. At the core of Arts for Learning Indiana’s programming are four driving principles: Experience, Understand, Create, and Connect, which reinforce the quality of learning outcomes and experiences.
Arts for Learning Indiana values the right of every young person to have access to the arts and to participatory experiences that unlock minds, expand lives, and fulfill creative and intellectual potential. Today, the organization is proud to be Indiana’s largest and oldest arts in education provider, crediting much of its history and success to outstanding support received both nationally and from the local community.
