FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – August 28, 2018 – Young Audiences Arts for Learning (Young Audiences) is pleased to announce a new partnership between Young Audiences affiliates Arts for Learning Southwest Florida (A4L SW Florida) and ArtsNow Learning (ArtsNow), which will bring expanded arts-integrated learning opportunities to schools in Collier County, Florida.

A4L SW Florida was established in 2016 by arts-in-education advocates and community leaders who recognized the need for arts-integrated teaching in the at-risk communities surrounding Naples, Florida. With this new partnership, A4L Southwest Florida will work collaboratively with Atlanta-based ArtsNow to meet this need and the expanding demand for arts-integrated programming in the region.

ArtsNow, which joined the Young Audiences Network in 2017, is dedicated to transforming education through arts integration and innovative practices by providing professional development and teacher resources. Since the organization’s founding in 1998, ArtsNow has grown to serve educators throughout Georgia and neighboring states yielding positive results for students, teachers, and school communities.

“ArtsNow is excited to collaborate with A4L SW Florida on this effort to strengthen and expand arts-integrated teaching and learning opportunities in Collier County,” said Pamela Walker, CEO and President of ArtsNow.

“This partnership represents an opportunity for A4L SW Florida and ArtsNow to advance the role of arts integration in teaching and learning in this region,” said David A. Dik, National Director of Young Audiences.
