First in the Nation: Arts Education included in Recently Released New Jersey School Performance Reports

New Jersey is the first state in the nation to include arts education measures as a part of their annual School Performance Reports. These new reports include the percentage of high school students enrolled in each area of the arts- such as dance, music etc.- as well as the percentage of the total school population that is enrolled in the arts. In New Jersey, 47.3% of high school students are enrolled in one or more arts discipline with visual art having the highest percentage of enrollment, followed by music, theater, and dance.
