JONES Soda Co.  and the Young Audiences Arts for Learning are proud to announce the Cleveland photo curriculum winner, Hunter A. See his stunning photo above. Congrats to Hunter, and every student who participated in this 10-week photography residency in partnership with The Center for Arts-Inspired Learning (CAL), Young Audiences’ Northeast Ohio affiliate, and Oliver H. Perry Elementary School. Resident Teaching Artist at CAL, Ryan Upp, led thirty 5th grade students in ten photography workshops designed to introduce the students to basic digital camera functions; alternative photographic processes, like applying artistic concepts through the use of digital editing software; deepen their understanding of the history of photography; and professionally present their work to the school and the community.

In addition to creating unique pieces of art, students also reflected on the work they were producing through thoughtful journaling exercises. To document their experience and their work, students created the digital journal below.
