Young Audiences' highly successful Immersive Game Design program was featured in the latest NEA Arts quarterly magazine. The program was piloted in three Young Audiences affiliate locations: YA of Northeast Ohio, Arts Partners Wichita, and Arts for Learning Indiana. The article, by Paula Beete discusses how some video games are considered art and how the Museum of Modern Art (NYC) recently added several classic video games into their permanent collection. The article then describes how the creation of video games involves almost every art form and many other math, science, and language skills. Beete focuses on Young Audiences' Immersive Game Design program and how it integrates the arts into technology to create an innovative program that will soon make its way to many more Young Audiences affiliates around the country.
