In August, the first Young Audiences Charter School will open in Jefferson Parish, New Orleans. The Kate Middleton Elementary School, named after a longtime teacher in the district, will integrate the arts into its classes. Our Louisiana affiliate created this amazing initiative and the school was recently featured in an article on the Public Radio of New Orleans (part of the NPR network).
