Young Audiences of Western New York celebrated National Young Audiences Arts for Learning Week with many programs and events. They organized a special culminating event on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Buffalo Central Library at 5 p.m. that showcased a variety of art forms by young people that participate in after school programs.
In recognition of this event, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand wrote a letter thanking the Young Audiences Arts for Learning network for its dedication and continued success bringing arts in education to nearly half a million New York students every year. YA of Western New York also received acknowledgment from State Senator Mark Grisanti. In his Citation, he thanked the affiliate for their outstanding work reaching young people in eight counties in upstate New York.
