Young Audiences of Western New York Announces the 7th Annual Patricia Cotsen Arts Abilities Conference

Young Audiences of Western New York, in conjunction with Arts Partners for Learning will host the 7th Annual Patricia Cotsen Arts Abilities Conference. Arts and cultural community representatives, educational program leaders, and human service providers are invited to learn about best practices in arts and cultural education through workshops led by community organizations participating in the Arts Partners for Learning Initiative.

The theme for this year's conference is "Reaching Everyone: Differentiated Instruction Through the Arts," which intends to address the wide-range of learning needs in today's educational settings. The conference will also address aspects of the Common Core Learning Standards. Conference participation contributes to the 175-hout requirement for NY State Professional Development Standards.

This year's conference will feature presentations by Andrea Moore, of Andrea Moore Arts - a creative activist and artist who uses writing, performance, and photography to foster connection and dialogue across social and cultural lines. There will also be many other engaging presentations featuring APL partners such as the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, Buffalo Zoo, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, Squeaky Wheel, and Young Audiences of Western New York.

Tickets will be $60 regular, $30 for Partners, and $20 for artists and students. Complimentary tickets are available for volunteers.
