Diarra Imani

As an educator and artist, a first-generation Jamaican, and a Black woman, Diarra Imani writes music and poetry to fill the soul, to acknowledge the hurts, and to heal the unspoken wounds we all carry as members of this world.

She teaches and practices breathing techniques through immersive craft-shops, with handouts, dynamic materials, and breath to share. Her work is deeply grounded in connection between creative expression and liberation, poetry, and politics. Historically, she has utilized her art form as a platform for healing and transforming stories, opening the lens of humanity, and building community in real-time.
