Sallay Shameka Gray

Hailing from New Orleans, Sallay Shameka Gray is an accomplished actress and dedicated arts educator.

She honed her craft at Northwestern State University and the Academy of Art University, earning a BFA in acting and producing. Sallay has been inspiring young minds since 2018 as an Arts Integration teacher for Young Audiences of Louisiana and has shared her passion for theater with middle school students.

Her impressive stage presence has been showcased in productions like The Black NativitySeeking AsylumLe Code Noir, and Inner Child. On screen, she's appeared in notable projects including I'M A VirgoNCIS: New OrleansA House DividedI, Love Louis, and Murderous Affairs.

Sallay is a champion for women in the film industry, serving as the International and United States representative for Women in Film and Television Louisiana. Her commitment to empowering women filmmakers is further evidenced by her past presidency and ongoing role on the Board of Directors since 2016.
