Born in Greece and raised in New York, Maria is a bicultural, bilingual maths and systems enthusiast who fosters medical needs of doggies for the North Shore Animal League. Her experience spans a number of private, nonprofit, and public institutions in finance, architecture, and education supporting administrative stability and efficiency.
A Stuyvesant High School alumna, she has worked with the Cornell Urban Scholars on summer service learning to advocate community-based issues and has provided the Central Park Scholars hands-on integrated civics curriculum for middle school students.
Maria graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Architecture from CUNY’s City College of New York School of Architecture and Environmental Design. She received an AT&T Foundation Fellowship from Bard College of Environmental Studies for interactive data mapping, and the Augustus Saint-Gaudens Gold Medal for Architecture from the School Art League.
